In Buddhism, monastic institutions are often supported by dāna. This is the practice of cultivating generosity which culminates in the perfection (pāramitā) of giving. It is highly valued as a spiritual practice, as it has the effect of purifying and transforming the mind of the giver and contributes to the well being of both giver and receiver

Chenrezig Institute relies heavily on your generosity and assistance. It enables us to continue to support our resident monks and nuns, and to provide our services to our guests and visitors.

If you would like to support the Institute, you can use our online form to make a donation for a specific project, or for general purposes. Thank you!

Chenrezig Institute is affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). Teachings at the Centre are based on the tradition of Lama Tsongkhapa as taught to us by our founder Lama Thubten Yeshe and Spiritual Director Lama Zopa Rinpoche. Lama Tsongkhapa (1357–1419) was the founder of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, of which His Holiness the Dalai Lama is a prominent teacher.
